Privacy notice

This notice explains how Shareholder handles your information when you search for a company, submit a business finance enquiry and are referred to a finance provider.

Shareholder UK LLC
01

Who is responsible for your information

Shareholder.co.uk is operated by Shareholder UK LLC, incorporated in Wyoming, United States. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@shareholder.co.uk.

For privacy questions, email privacy@shareholder.co.uk.

02

Information the site handles

When you search for a business, the search text is sent through the site’s API to Companies House so the site can return matching company records. If you select a result, the company name and number are shown in the enquiry journey.

When you submit the business finance form, Shareholder stores the selected company name, company number and business type, your email address and the requested funding amount in pounds. The record also includes the submission time, source page, submission reference and the version of the short privacy notice shown beside the form.

An enquiry is stored only when you submit the form. Simply typing into the form or leaving it unfinished does not create an enquiry record. Company searches still involve Companies House as described above. On submission, we also queue a referral email to your assigned finance provider.

03

How information is used

Company search information is used to find and display matching Companies House records. Submitted enquiry information is stored to record and manage your business finance request and to show the next step. A submission reference and a fingerprint of the submitted details help prevent duplicate records when a save is retried.

The supplier handoff panel opens after the database confirms that the enquiry was saved. We use the submitted details to refer your request to your assigned finance provider and enable them to contact you. Submitting an enquiry does not enrol you in a general marketing mailing list.

The specific purposes and lawful bases for each use have not yet been documented. Those details must be confirmed before this notice is finalised.

04

Who information may be shared with

Company search text is sent to Companies House for the lookup. After you submit an enquiry, your company name, company number, business type, email address, requested funding amount, referral reference and submission date are sent by email to one assigned finance provider: Lending People, Infund or Walmoor Capital.

We use Resend to deliver these transactional referral emails. Resend processes the email contents and the assigned supplier’s recipient address to provide delivery. We retain a notification record to track acceptance by the email service and retry temporary failures. Your details are not sent to all three finance providers.

You have also indicated that analytics or marketing tools are used, but their names and the information they collect have not been supplied. Add every relevant provider before this notice is published.

05

Retention and security

Submitted enquiries are held in the site’s PostgreSQL database and written through the server. There is no public enquiry-list or record-download endpoint. Enquiry contents are not included in the application’s request logs. Authorised workspace database administrators can access the records.

A retention period has not yet been approved, and no automatic expiry is currently applied to enquiry records. Contact privacy@shareholder.co.uk about access, correction or deletion. The company must confirm a retention schedule and its full security and hosting arrangements.

06

Your privacy rights

Depending on the data-protection law that applies to you and to the company, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your information, and a right to complain to a regulator.

To raise a privacy question or request, contact privacy@shareholder.co.uk. The applicable regulator and the procedure for making a complaint must be confirmed for the final notice.

07

Cookies and similar technologies

The company has confirmed that analytics or marketing tools are used. Their names, purposes, cookie lifetimes and consent behavior have not been confirmed. See the draft Cookie Policy and complete its inventory before publication.

08
